The journey to Bentota should take you around 1. 20 hours if you travel via the Southern Expressway / E01, however, our experienced drivers / guides may use the alternative route of travelling via the Southern Expressway / E01 and Colombo-Galle Main Road / A2. The latter; more scenic route will take you an additional 10-15 minutes to reach Bentota, although this depends on traffic conditions.

Bentota River safari
The Bentota River is the third largest river in the country and you can explore this river by going on a river cruise. A river excursion will take you through the island’s dense mangroves, where crocodiles, water monitors, and other reptiles swim through the waters of the Bentota River. 
Bentota beach
Golden sandy beaches and warm waters make up the Bentota beach, which is ideal for those who wish to spend the day simply relaxing on the beach. Water sports are a common activity in Bentota, where guests can try out various sports including jet skis, banana boats, kite surfing, water skiing and much more. 
Brief Garden
The Brief Garden is located around 10 km from the main city and was once owned by the famous landscape architect Bevis Bawa. Much of the property, including the house and garden, are left under the care of Mother Nature herself.  The gardens are home to various sculptures and Sri Lankan murals. 
Turtle conservation
The southern coast of Sri Lanka is known for its turtle conservation projects where turtle eggs are bought from local fisherman and then nurtured until they hatch and are ready to be sent back to the sea, Bentota being one of them. Visitors could even get the chance to release a few of these turtles back to the sea!
